These Seal labels IRAM guarantee that the maintenance and recharges of the extinguishers has been made under permanent control of IRAM and in agreement with norm IRAM 3517-2.

What is the Periodic Control?

The quarterly Control of extinguishers is a task of fundamental importance to assure the conditions of prevention against fire in a property. It allows to verify in periodic form the type and characteristics of the equipment available, his location and signaling, and that the conditions of the Dowry Required for the same one have not been altered.
In addition it allows to have the certainty that has not either altered the conditions of operativity of the equipment: that is that is loaded, that does not have damages or it needs accessories.
It is a species of periodic photography that allows to detect and to later correct alterations undergone by the extinguishers to the maintenance, to control the signaling and to maintain the dowry operative.

The Quarterly Control, like more of the tasks indicated in Norm IRAM 3517-2, is obligatory according to the established thing by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires in the Municipal ordinance Nº 40,473/85 and also by the Ministerial Resolution Nº 118 of the Secretariat of Environmental Policy of the Government of the Province of Buenos Aires.
The only person in charge of the state of the dowry, control, maintenance and charge of extinguishers is the USER. The execution of these works must be made by personnel properly registered, enabled and with the tools, spare parts and suitable materials of charge.

Who controls the fulfillment of this obligatory nature?

• The Government of the City of Buenos Aires
• The Secretariat of Environmental Policy of the Pcia. of Buenos Aires.

How many controls are due to make per year?

There is no a guaranteed amount of controls to make per year. The Norm indicates clearly that the maximum term between controls does not have to exceed the three months, being this independent control of the date of victory of the maintenance and recharges. Therefore, the advisable thing is to define whereupon regularity these controls will be made.

The maintenance and charge replace the Control Periodic?

No. They are totally different tasks and one does not replace to the other. The maintenance and charge imply the retirement of the equipment of the building, its processing in factory and its return.
